WAXAHACHIE, Texas - Rain delayed the start of the 2019 NCCAA regional softball championship game for more than six hours on Wednesday afternoon, and it also forced the game to be moved to a turf field. When the game did get underway, though, the Mid-America Christian University bats were unable to get going, and the Evangels saw their season come to an end.
MACU (32-19) did not get a base runner until the bottom of the seventh inning, and Southwestern Assemblies of God University (30-26) put up a trio of runs early and rode the arm of Casey Waterman to the 4-0 win.
