OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has announced the signing of sophomore catcher Hanna Harris to the program for the 2017 season.
Harris last competed at Independence (Kan.) Community College, where she earned a spot on the Principal's Honor Roll.
She prepped at Bridge Creek (Okla.) High School and was a four-time Fastpitch and Slowpitch All-Conference selection, while also being tabbed as a Fastpitch All-State performer in 2015.
"Hanna is a big addition to our family at MACU," Wakefield said. "She caught every game at Independence Community College last year, giving her the needed experience to move up to the NAIA level."
"She comes from a great family and her leadership behind the plate will help our pitchers. We are so excited to get a young lady like Hanna for three years."
Johnson is set to join a program coming off its first-ever National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) appearance in school history.
She is the daughter of David and Regina Harris and plans to major in Elementary Education at MACU.
