OKLAHOMA CITY – Mid-America Christian University softball head coach Robert Wakefield has announced the addition of P/3B Regan Martin to the program. Martin is an early signing for the 2018 season.
A native of Sheridan, Ark., Martin helped the Sheridan High School Yellowjackets to the 2016 6A state championship following consecutive state runner-up finishes.
She was named the State MVP and was also an all-conference and all-state performer last season.
"We are excited to sign Regan to play softball at MACU," Wakefield said.
"She is a young lady that has played and won at the highest level in high school by pitching her team to a state championship as a junior. Regan is a great Christian young lady and is going to bring so many good characteristics to our team."
Martin is set to join a program coming off its first-ever National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) appearance in school history.
She is the daughter of Kevin and Jennifer Martin and plans to major in Early Childhood Education at MACU.
