Siloam Springs, Ark. -- The Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels were tripped up tonight (Oct. 6) 3-0 at the John Brown University Golden Eagles in Siloam Springs, Ark.
The Golden Eagles defeated MACU by scores of 25-13, 25-19 and 25-21.
Mary Burkhead, Laurel Church and Hannah Luedtke each had a team-high five kills for the Lady Evangels (11-6, 2-5 SAC), with Luedtke also leading the way with 12 assists. Melissa Hoppal had a team-high 11 digs and Camera Broadnax recorded 10 digs.
Audrey Dearien paced the Golden Eagles (15-6, 5-2 SAC) with 13 kills and Alyssa Arnold recorded a match-high 29 assists. Beth Brankle led everyone with 15 digs on the night.
The Lady Evangels will next return home and host Southwestern Assemblies of God University Friday night (Oct. 9) at 7 p.m. inside the Gaulke Activity Center.
