OKLAHOMA CITY -- The No. 4-ranked Oklahoma City University Stars won the opening game of a three-game set over the Mid-America Christian University Evangels 15-0 today (Mar. 17) at Jim Wade Stadium in Oklahoma City.
The Stars jumped on top early on a three-run homer by Jared Baker in the first and then busted the game open with a five-run third and three-run fourth inning.
OCU also got a two-run homer from Cory Linn and two RBIs each from Lane Milligan and Garrett Foster.
Matt Young got the win for OCU (26-4, 4-0 SAC) with six scoreless innings and five strikeouts.
Jacob Martinez and Ryan Moseley each had a hit for the Evangels (10-18, 3-4 SAC).
The Evangels will now host the Stars for a doubleheader tomorrow (Mar. 18) starting at 1 pm at James Curtis Field.
